Maine Clergy Call on Sen. Susan Collins to Reject GOP Tax Plan

PORTLAND, Maine -- On Tuesday, November 28th, at 11:30 a.m., faith leaders will gather to call on Senator Susan Collins to reject the Senate tax plan that would make 50,000 Mainers uninsured by 2025. The plan currently gives massive tax cuts to the very wealthiest Americans and powerful corporations, funded by raising taxes on middle class families and slashing funding for Medicare, Medicaid and education.

Faith leaders will also deliver a “moral declaration” signed by 92 leaders to Senator Collins’ office, urging her to do the right thing. To view the moral declaration, click here.
